Rambling notes from a middle-aged broad...
Hi, I'm Tina, a middle-aged "broad" currently living in Germany, which has been my (new) home for almost five years. I've previously lived in the UK, South Africa, Zambia and Norway, so a woman well-travelled, I guess you could say.
My personal interests are doom-scrolling through social media, reading, listening to music and podcasts, travelling when my wallet allows, photography (aren't camera phones amazing?!) and beading. Oh, and gin. How could I forget the gin?!
I'm not German, although my ancestral DNA tells me I have German genes, down through the ages, on my mother's side, more of which we'll come to later.
So why this blog? Well, I've dabbled in "writing" for many years, and kind friends have often said I should write a book. A book about what, though? While I've lived an interesting life, is it interesting enough to fill the pages of a book? Hhhhmmm...
I've blogged before, back in the early 2000s, when blogging was all the rage. Those blogs introduced me to some interesting people, and perhaps this one will do the same. Let's see, shall we?
Welcome to my Notes from A Broad.
